A Patchwork of Flowers

One of my latest projects was to create a slip cover for an old Lloyd Loom style basket chair.
I used a selection of cheerful and hard-wearing vintage floral linen and barkcloth fabrics.
Made to measure it simply slips over the chair for an instant update.
It will be coming with me to one of my upcoming fairs...
along with my ever increasing cushion collection...

A pretty colour palette of pink, turquoise and purple is the theme for this cushion. Made from vintage florals and a piece of hand embroidery.

The centre panel for this cushion is a wonderful vintage needlepoint featuring a floral rose garland. Combined with a selection of floral textiles including Sanderson, Liberty and Scheurer.

A cushion for spring, with hand embroidered circlet as it's centrepiece.

A warm wool of lemon yellow for the reverse.

The final cushion for today, is a pale blue and purple patchwork, featuring a lovely hand embroidered piece with heavily stitched blooms.

Country girl Maisie is a rag doll I completed last week.
She is sold.
